Common Sense Sourcing

In this class, we cover easy to implement hands-on techniques that will allow you to productively source on Google, social networks, and professional sites, with multiple examples for each. You will not need any special tools or subscriptions to apply what you learn in the class.

We will explain the differences in search syntax between various sites, as well as the best practices for constructing your searches. We will review finding associations, conferences, and online communities relevant to your target professionals. You will learn to produce X-Ray search strings for these sites. We will provide templates to use when searching for bios and lists of professionals on target sites.

We will also talk about using “ideal” profiles to derive search queries and will cover “implicit" search.
